From an early age I have been fascinated by various crafts. Tattooing is one of the oldest crafts/art forms in the world. I am intrigued by the long global history of tattoos and the various meanings they can have.

For years it has been my dream to be able to work as a tattoo artist. But sometimes life doesn’t turn out as expected. After a number of jobs in various fields, I finally ended up in permanent employment with the government.

Due to a special combination of circumstances, I was given the unique offer to learn the basics of this beautiful art form from an experienced tattoo artist. A long cherished dream suddenly became a reality. At one point the opportunity presented itself to rent a space that is suitable as a studio. Suddenly the puzzle was complete and all the pieces fit together beautifully. Blue Root Tattoo was born. Since April 2018 I have been running this small studio together with my wife Julia in the Studio Cosi building.

I set high standards for my designs and my work. I will therefore only put tattoos that I am sure are within my capabilities and like to take the time to deliver a good result.

Together with Timen I enjoy working in our studio. I really enjoy brainstorming with you about the possibilities, wishes and ideas. It is an indescribable feeling when we manage to make a design that our customer is happy with. Under the supervision of Timen I slowly gain experience with tattooing. So now you can also contact me for smaller and simple tattoos.
